How Long Does a Muha Meds Disposable Last? Draws, Days and the Maths Behind It

· 8 min read

"How many puffs?" is the wrong question, and it is why the numbers people quote vary by a factor of four. A vaporiser does not meter puffs — it meters time under power. Two people can take the same number of draws from identical devices a week apart and one of them is still going. The arithmetic below explains why, and it is genuinely worth knowing before you decide a device has failed early.

A Muha Meds Gen 3 disposable held up to the light so the oil level in the tank is visible.

The numbers, with the range explained

A 2g Muha Meds disposable holds two grams — two thousand milligrams — of oil. A vaporiser coil consumes somewhere around 2.5 to 5 mg of oil per second of firing, depending on the coil, the oil's viscosity and how hot the device runs.

Draw lengthOil per drawDraws from 2gTypical days
2 seconds (short)~5–10 mgroughly 700–80010–14
3 seconds (average)~8–15 mgroughly 450–6007–10
5 seconds (long)~13–25 mgroughly 250–4004–6
8 seconds (very long)~20–40 mgroughly 150–2502–4
Same device, same oil, same person — only the draw length changes. That is the whole spread.

So the honest headline figure for a 2g is 400 to 800 draws, or about a week for most people. If you are getting far less than that, the section on wastage below is where to look before you conclude the device was short-filled.

Battery against oil: which runs out first

A rechargeable disposable is two consumables in one shell, and they are deliberately mismatched. The cell is sized so that it will not be the thing that ends the device — but only if you charge it sensibly.

  • The oil should run out first. That is the design intent. A 2g will typically want three to five full charges over its life.
  • A full charge takes 45–60 minutes from flat on a low-output 5V/1A source. A computer USB port or a basic phone plug is ideal.
  • Fast chargers shorten the device's life. The extra current becomes heat, heat degrades the cell, and a degraded cell delivers less power per draw — which makes you draw longer, which uses more oil.
  • Charging from nearly-flat every time is harder on the cell than topping it up. If it is convenient, short frequent charges beat deep ones.

Where the wasted third goes

Most people lose a meaningful share of a device to four habits, none of which feel like waste at the time.

  1. Drawing past the point of vapour. The last second or two of a long pull is often heating oil you are no longer inhaling. It is the single largest source of waste.
  2. Chain-draws with no pause. A coil that has not cooled runs hotter on the next pull, consumes faster and tastes worse. Thirty seconds between draws is enough.
  3. Storing it warm. Heat thins the oil, thin oil floods the coil, and a flooded coil burns off more per draw. A hot car is expensive in a way you never see.
  4. Storing it on its side for long periods. Oil migrates past the seal, and what leaks out is oil you paid for.

Fix the first two and most people find a 2g lasts noticeably longer without changing how much they actually consume — because the difference was never consumption, it was evaporation.

What else moves the number

FactorEffect on lifespan
Oil typeLive resin and rosin-derived oils are thicker and generally wick slower, which tends to stretch a device slightly compared with thin distillate.
Ambient temperatureCold oil wicks poorly and tempts longer draws; warm oil floods. Room temperature is the efficient middle.
ToleranceThe real driver of daily consumption, and the one no specification sheet accounts for.
SharingObvious, but worth stating — social use tends to produce longer draws as well as more of them.

Frequently asked questions

How many puffs are in a Muha Meds 2g disposable?
Roughly 400 to 800, and the range is that wide because draw length matters far more than draw count. At two-second pulls you are near the top of it; at five or six seconds you are near the bottom. A six-second pull uses about three times the oil of a two-second one.
How long does a 2g last in days?
About a week for most people. Light use stretches to ten days or a fortnight; heavy or shared use brings it down to three or four days. Nothing about that spread indicates a faulty device.
How long does a 1g cartridge last?
Half of the above, on the same arithmetic — roughly 200 to 400 draws. A 510 cartridge on a variable-voltage battery often goes a little further than the equivalent disposable, because you can run it at a lower setting.
How many times can I recharge a disposable?
A 2g will usually want three to five full charges across its life, and the cell is sized so the oil runs out first. Use a low-output 5V/1A charger — fast charging generates heat, and heat is what shortens the cell.
There is still oil in mine but it stopped working. Why?
Almost always a clog, a blocked airflow slot or a dried-out coil rather than the end of the device. Take a dry draw with it unlit: if air moves freely the path is clear and the fault is electrical, and if it feels sealed you have a blockage. Our blink-code guide covers the full sequence.
How do I make a disposable last longer?
Shorten your draws, pause about thirty seconds between them, keep it out of heat, and store it upright. Drawing past the point of vapour is the biggest single source of waste, and it costs nothing to stop.
Does a bigger battery mean more puffs?
No. The battery determines how many times you can fire the coil before charging, not how much oil is in the tank. Capacity in grams is what sets the number of draws; the cell only decides how often you are tethered to a cable.
